Alaska Outdoors:  Weekly Hikes

Alaska Outdoors hosts 2 hikes on Monday and Thursday year around .

Hiking Time:  6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Open to public

Cost: Free for members / $1.00 suggested donation per person for non-members.

Monday Hike

Monday hike is designed for hiking beginners and families with children.  We regularly utilize established ski-trails such as trails in Kincaid, Hillside, Ruth Arcand, Bicentennial, and University Lake Parks.  The trails are mostly wide and flat.  In winter, we utilize multi-use, lighted trails.  Bring ski, and we devide group into skiers and non-skiers.

Thursday  Hike

Thursday hike is designed for intermediate hikers.  We often go steep trails in Chugach Mountains.  Many of trails are well established; however, we sometimes go unbeaten paths.  In winter, we go to the same place.  Most of trails are well traveled even in winter, so that snowshoe is not required.
