Unlike other parks, majority of trails are multi-use trails,
available to all users year around. Many trails are flat and moderate ups

trails are Winter only. As the park is adjacent to
Chugach State park and Fort Richardson Army Reserve, the park is known for
frequent bear sightings, especially trails along Campbell creek. In
summer, during salmon run season, those trails may be closed for bear
activity.
